ELISSA BARDEN
Principal OT / Clinical Manager
After graduating from a Bachelor of Applied Science (OT) at UWS in 2005 Elissa moved to Canada and worked for the Whistler Adaptive Sports Program. There she helped breakdown the barriers to accessing summer and winter sport and recreational activities by enabling active participation. Since then she has devoted her therapy to empowering people to achieve their full potential and improve their quality of life.
Over the years Elissa has been lucky enough to work with some amazing therapists and interdisciplinary teams, effectively strengthening her proficiency in wheelchair prescriptions, functional assessments, manual handling and case management. Elissa’s comprehensive experience has led her to lecture and tutor at Southern Cross University, with a special focus on all things seating. She has a passion for complex seating, education and training, and supporting other therapists through professional development and mentorship. Elissa is also an approved icare Case Manager and FIM Assessor.
Outside of her profession, Elissa has a young family who keep her busy. Much of her spare time is spent trying to keep up with her 2 children, enjoying the outdoors and playing a social game of basketball.
NICK WILKES
Business Operations
Nick joined the TOTAL REHAB® team full time in 2018 to manage the ongoing business and administrative needs. Nick’s background is in the entertainment industry, having spent his past life as an Audio Engineer, Technical Coordinator and Entertainment Manager.
Nick understands the need for genuine customer service and the importance of building and maintaining strong business relationships with all stakeholders.
When not at work or wrangling the kids, Nick is a keen fisherman. He loves camping, being outdoors and all things motorsports.
