What we’re looking for:

As a vital member of our team, you will be responsible for assessing, planning, and implementing therapeutic interventions to help individuals achieve optimal functional independence and quality of life.

You’ll primarily work with adults living with spinal cord injuries and neurological conditions, focusing on mobility, assistive technology prescriptions, home modifications, pressure care, and manual handling.

Your key responsibilities include: 

  • Providing quality community based in-home therapy to clients.
  • Conducting comprehensive assessments including MAT evaluations, pressure mapping, access and home modifications, and risk assessments.
  • Develop individualised therapy plans and goals.
  • Trial and prescription of complex assistive technology including wheelchairs and seating.
  • Implementing a variety of therapeutic interventions and assistive technology solutions to enhance independence and participation.
  • Arranging equipment trials with a broad range of suppliers to ensure assistive technology is matched to the unique needs of our clients.
  • Providing seating and manual handling education and training to clients, carers, and other therapists.
  • Completing relevant documentation and applications (both clinical and administrative).
  • Advocating and supporting clients through the provision of case management.
  • Working collaboratively with our clients, their families, team members, and other key stakeholders to ensure continuity of care and promote a positive working relationship.
